And thanks to danielbonnie28 who translated the article from Filmz.dk!

How did it with that Harry Potter will soon be a finished chapter in your life?
BW: “It feels weird. We finished recording [the last film] in April next year, so now we can all look to end on the horizon. But none of us want to think about it, we’ll just enjoy it as long as we can. But it has been such a part of us all that we never forget what it has done for us, or the friends we have. We are all still young and we have many ambitions and different goals, so it will be interesting to see what people decide to do. ”

Interview: ‘Harry Potter and the half blood prince ”
Date: 17 July 2009 13:10 By: Johan Albrechtsen (The Insider)

An interview with Harry Potters best girlfriends

Mention the names Luna Love Good and Ginny Weasley, and many will probably just pull bemused on the shoulders, while millions of Harry Potter fans want appreciative nod and smile. These are two of bifigurerne in J.K. Rowling groundbreaking bogserie the youthful wizard, but many fans will probably point out that there simply is no ‘minor’ characters in the Harry Potter universe, and that they all are unique and important. And in the latest Harry Potter movie, “Harry Potter and the half blood prince”, both characters have really allowed to underline their worth. Ginny finally come out of its big brother Ronsse (Potters best friend) and is shade Potters flame while Love Goodrich will contribute a unique spøjs humor, which sometimes get the film’s relatively sombre mood to brighten a little.

No, the characters are not quite as known as Potter, Ron, Dumbledore and Voldemort, but they still mean a part of many fans and especially the two young actors who portray them: 18-year-old Bonnie Wright (Ginny) and 17-year-olds Evanna Lynch (Luna). Wright is one of the few actors who participated in all the Harry Potter movies. And Irish Lynch has always been a loyal fan who has read all the books several times and even wrote tons of letters to JK Rowling (and now they have become pen pals!) Before she got the role of Luna – a role that thousands of peers girls fought for. Curiously reminiscent both girls a part of their fictional alter egos. Both are astute and Bonnie appears really confident and focused, while Evanna is prudent and lavmælt.

Filmz had the opportunity to speak with the duo, who visited Copenhagen in connection with the premiere of the movie.

Bonnie, you’re almost grown up with your character, Ginny Weasley … it has been easy to ’slip into’ in the role?
BW: “Yes, certainly. We have all known our characters for so long and so begins to understand them better, and it becomes more natural to play them. But in every single movie we all like to challenge ourselves and make new things with the characters, so audiences can discover new sides of them. I know now Ginny so well that it has been difficult to separate her from myself. She is very independent, enthusiastic and fearless and I admire greatly. ”

And you have a much bigger role in this film than in the previous one. Was it scary?
BW: “Yes, reasonable. In the book and manuscript character really comes out into the light, and I talked some with director David Yates about what we wanted to do with Ginny, and we also discussed her relationship with Potter, with [Daniel Radcliffe ]. There was more pressure this time because there are so many fans who want the relationship to evolve, as do in their imagination. So when you have more playing time, there is more pressure, but it will you also feel that you have more important and has far more input. ”

Apropos Radcliffe – I recently read a funny interview with him which he very humbly apologized to you because he thought he was so miserable in the scene where Potter and Ginny finally kiss. Was it really so bad?
BW: (laughs) “I think first, he realized it when he saw the movie. But I said to him: ‘Do not worry, I thought no, that was bad. It was fine.” But it is a strange experience kissing while playing drama, because it is mechanical in a way. But you have to just laugh at it. To have such a moment to act and act realistically we just have to to close everything else out, all the pressure. ”

You are one of the few actors who participated in all the films. How would you compare the different instructors?
BW: “They are all very, very different. They all had different visions and methods. David Yates is’ an actor instructor. He is happy to talk about your interpretation of the character, scene, and he like to listen to everything you have to say. He has inspired us all to speculate even more about what we do and the characters’ motivation. He is very calm and sincere. Christopher Columbus was an excellent choice to teach the first two films because they were more child-oriented and he brought us all together and built a solid foundation, which was easy for others to build. Alfonso [Cuarón] would like to make the third film more dark, which I thought it needed to be because the children who saw the films, also grew up and demanded more than just another children’s films. And Mike Newell was always fun to settet he cried and cried constantly and was enormously enthusiastic about the movie. People always ask me: ‘If it is not repetitive? ‘but it helps to have different directors, new actors, new scenery … it makes each film unique. ”

Evanna, the first of the movies that you participated in, was the fifth. At that time, actors and film team already evolved into something of a family. Were you quickly some of it?
EL: “Not really, but it was all my fault. I felt they were movie stars, and I was really just a fan who had come on board. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating, but I kept myself very much for me himself. I thought they had more right to be there, which was a bit ridiculous. And it was not until this movie that I began to open up a little more. I was more relaxed and felt that I really had a Part of Harry Potter. ”

And as a huge fan of the books, you feel a special responsibility towards the character that you would portray?
EL: “Total. [Luna] was always my favorite character and I want the character to be granted justice. I am sure, there are fans who do not think that I reproduce their interpretation of Luna, and it is safe painful for them, but I just want to portray her as I see her. But JK Rowling and David Yates has praised me much, and I think they are the only ones whose opinions matter. If they are happy, I am happy. But when I see movies, so I do not see Luna so I still see myself, but it’s nice that there is always something to improve. ”

It must also have been a pleasure for you to work with some of the greatest actors in the industry?
BW: “Yes, it has been a fantastic experience to play with more or less all of Britain’s greatest actors. They are all so professional and fantastic, and they have always been happy to see us become better actors.”

EL: “I learned first of the recordings, how much they actually were. For me it was the three young actors (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, ed.), There were stars. I knew all of their privacy, but when Monday is 14, so you see not very many films, but when I began to see more movies, I really discovered that, oh god, they were gigantic. But it is interesting to see how all the work. Michael Gambon has not read books, and he does not rehearse all the replies – some of which he printed on large plates, which he read during the recordings. ”

EL: “When I was finished with the last book stopped me up and said, ‘What shall I stand?” When you are a fan you always look forward to the next book or movie, and now there are about nothing more to look forward to. But I will continue to read books, and if [JK Rowling] has continued to write more Harry Potter books, she could possibly end up driving tired of it and I like the fact that it has been rounded. But I certainly hope she writes something different. And like soon. (laughs) ”

Did I want to continue to play play?
BW: “Yes, obviously. I knew nothing about the film industry to begin with, so I have really been absorbed by this world that I knew nothing about in advance. In the moments where shouting” action! ” and ‘cut,’ are all just click, and I love to play drama and be in nature. ”

EL: “Yes, I enjoy it really. I can not stand to see interviews with myself (laughs). I have the okay to see the films, but even that is a little painful, but I learn a lot from playing playwright, and it is so exciting to meet so many people and to travel to so many countries. It would feel like a bit of a waste if I just chose to return to my old routine, but there is much that I like . I love to dance, I want to study dance, and I love the French. I think English people are a bit ignorant when it comes to other languages. I would really like to learn more languages.

Can you say something in English then?
EL: “I have learned a few words (in surprisingly good English) Thank you, hello, goodbye, sorry … sorry it was the first word I learned, because I often encounter with people.”

We have also a few questions from one of our users – 13-year-old Sarah, who is a big Harry Potter fan. She asks: “How has it been growing up as a part of something as big as Harry Potter series and what are your favorite movies and yndlingsbog in the series?”
BW: “It’s been a little strange experience for us all. What the others probably find it hard to relate to is that we have been the middle of all this, and it has grown up around us, and we’ve been in this dense, small air bubble. When we filmer, forgotten all about the fans and pressure. It’s been a really exciting experience, but it is only when one comes up to the premier markets that you really discover the extent of Series popularity. [Harry Potter] has played a major role in my life. It has enriched my childhood and inspired me.

And my favorite movie has to be ‘Harry Potter and the half blood prince’ because I had much more to do, and I was really challenged. The movie achieves as good a balance between its romantic, comic and sinister elements, and visually it is also my favorite. My yndlingsbog must be the seventh ( ‘Harry Potter and dødsregalierne’, ed.) Because there is so much material in it, and because all characters have their moment and the end is satisfactory. ”

EL: “As a fan, it has been a great honor for me to be part of the films. And when I see posters and advertisements and the like, so I feel really proud. I can not decide for myself whether the fifth or The seventh book is my favorite. I am pretty happy with fifth because it was in that Luna first appeared, and Harry is growing up so much in it. And I also love the seventh, because everybody has his moment. It’s really exciting, and there is always something, and we meet all one last time. As to the films is the sixth probably my favorite. I have to hold a marathon and watch them all in a row .. .

Just saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince..and let me just say…IT WAS AMAZING!! I know it was completely different to the books but it followed through really well unlike order of the pheonix..but unfortunately i have to say i’m kinda upset cause harry and ginny’s relationship had NO chemistry at all and the kiss wasn’t as good like in the books, it wasn’t romantic at all, it was like 2 seconds long and dan just loved closing his eyes and not wanting to open them (don’t blame him, Bonnie didn’t look so..appealing) but yeah the chemistry was terrible but bonnie has the last 2 movies to redeem herself and her acting as ginny is abit bland and plain..she should’ve been more lively, talkative and outgoing like her character should be..i’d probably give her 4 out of ten for acting to be honest..otherwise it was really really good, dumbledors gay moment ahahah and when he said ‘wands ready’ to harry at the beginning of the film i cracked up laughing and everyone in the cinema was silent…ron and hermonies sexual tension was beyond obvious and harry and hermonie looked more ‘lovely dovey’ than ginny and harry but the ending with Harry and Ginny was really good with the comforting and all….

  4. TerraAnn Says:

Wow, ‘Lolz’ we must have seen a completely different film because to me, the chemistry between Harry and Ginny WAS obvious and was very much there. I was in a packed audience and they all agreed with me. True, Ginny wasn’t given nearly enough time on screen, as she was in the books. She was more fiesty in the books and the kiss was WAY better in the book. But that’s the director’s fault. Bonnie did a wonderful job with the material she was given. She did have some great moments. Like whens he told the quidditch team to ’shut it’. I thought Bonnie did great and even though the kiss wasn’t as long as I wanted it to be, I still thought Ginny and Harry were great in the movie.

  6. aisa Says:

i agree with teraAnn. It was the director’s fault! lol the kiss was a bit fast but it made me crave more maybe its just their way to tease us and let us wait for the next movie.

  7. chewychica Says:

I agree with TerraAnn. There was chemistry between Ginny & Harry, but it was carried out in a more mature manner, that most teenagers wouldn’t understand. Some people think quantity is better than quality. Look again… this is a special bond that the director wanted to set forward, and he’s been settiing up Ginny’s interest in Harry since OoTP. At the end of OoTP, he set up a few looks from Harry that indicated he started to notice Ginny. I think the screen writer and the director knew exactly what they were doing in HBP. Some of the critics were impressed with the way the cmplicated chemistry was played out between these two characters. I loved this movie as it was presented, and I also love the books the way they’re writeen.
