Thank you so much to NYC10016 for letting us know about her amazing experience with Daniel Radcliffe at the Q.A. event in New York on the 19th held by the New York Times. She talked to Daniel Radcliffe and he had quite a bit to say when asked about Bonnie! Here’s what he had to say:
Bonnie is loads and loads of fun, and amazing, and fantastic!
I liked the romance of Harry and Ginny.

Update: Thanks again to NYC10016, we have a new little tidbit about Dan’s mention of Bonnie. According to NYC10016, Dan was:
“most endearing in describing to me what bonnie was like.”

I’m one of the ones that didn’t have a problem with Dan’s “strange” comment. Bonnie has basically said the same thing.
It’s nice to see him say something lovely about Bonnie. I wouldn’t expect anything less from him.
I’m the same, I mean honestly, of course it was going to be strange! They grew up together! They’ve been friends for years! Even Bonnie said that it was weird thinking about it when she read the kiss. I don’t see how that was bad!
Oh, we were just joking around. We love Dan, but we were just saying that it’s weird that he said the kiss itself is strange. lol but it’s all in good fun.
folks in retrsopect how i wished i asked dan for some more details on the h&g angle but at that time i was just grinning myself silly from ear-to-ear as dan has been in his most earnest trying to convey to me his thoughts of bonnie – how i wished we’re allowed camcorder as dan’s laughter/smiles when he was trying his darnest to tell me what bonnie is like is captured/frozen in time for all the h&g shippers and/or bonnie/ginny fans to delight upon!!!
I agree with you Singer and anon, I found Dan’s comment completely normal.
As for these new comments, how sweet is Dan? Bonnie does seem like a pretty fun person!
nyc10016, can you remember anything else he said, like about harry/ginny in dh or hbp or the kissing or anything? sorry to bombard you, but i’ve always been curious.
dan did not mention any h&g in the formal part of the q&a and none of the audience asked, ergo as soon as the q&a was done i waved my equus london playbill – a sure way to get his attention and asked for an autograph. i was front row center and whilst he was autographing he asked if i’m re-watching equus in broadway and i answered yes and mentioned the dates i am watching – then i asked him about bonnie, what’s she’s like. i told him i’ve seen him upclose a few times before but have not met my fave hp character /star bonnie/ginny and he was most endearing in describing to me what bonnie was like. then i asked about h&g and he just said he liked the romance and then i asked about which part of london he liked and he said fullham… and then his handlers whisked him off. anyhoo, i’m most delighted with my recent dan encounter as i made him think of bonnie!!!!

my personal mission in life where dan is concerned: make him think of bonnie and last tues was my most successfull attempt ever, lols! seriously anything to make him think of bonnie/h&g for until feb 2009 it’s all about equus and please vibe positive some random reporter during the equus media blitz in nyc actually asks him about h&g/bonnie in hbp. cheerios to h&g/ginny/bonnie!!!!

i gotta know your exact thoughts on that “strange” from dan and “odd” comments from bonnie on their hbo snog though dan in an earlier interview mentioned “it went well in the end” obviously at the moment both d&b are not “attracted” to one another but i want to hedge after filming hbp where they’ve spend more time together they’ve developed a closer friendship – ergo: dan’s all laughing/smiling when he was describing bonnie to me in such an earnest and endearing manner i just soooo wanted to squeee, big time!!!

can the scripts of the bonnie podcast be posted somewhere in this bwo site as not everyone gets to listen to it or gets to download it for the benefit of other bonnie fans who do not have that good internet connection, thanks.
Dan is the sweetest person, it’s a pleasure to read his interviews and how passionately he talks about acting and his castmates. I’ve read about the problems he has (dyspraxia) and it makes me admire him even more, it’s really brave he talked about it and I’m sure he has had to work even harder in his life and it’s admirable he has such a joyful personality having gwron up with more difficulties than most people. I think his comments about the filming of the kiss scene are normal. Bonnie and Dan has known each other since they were kids, it’s normal it was a little strange for them at the beginning, but they are professional actors and got over it and at the end had fun filming the scene, that’s what I understand reading Dan and bonnie’s comments. I think they have a great on screen chemistry, I alredy noticed it in the second HP movie, and in OotP there were several little moments were they looked at each other and it was lovely.
I don’t think Dan has it in him to be less than a gentleman. May he ever remain so. He evidently is friends with Bonnie and I hope they have great H/G chemistry on screen.
