Bonnie Attends Children’s BAFTA Awards

Bonnie attended the British Academy Children’s Awards 2008 this evening. She and Andy Akinwolere presented the CBBC me and my movie Award to Leah Cooper (The Prank). So far we only have four pictures, so keep checking back for more later. HQ(s) will be coming shortly.

Does anyone know if this would be on TV by any chance?

Update: HQ’s have been added to our gallery. Please remember to credit Bonnie Wright Online and only if you plan to use them on your own fansite, please contact us before doing so. Thanks and enjoy! We will be looking out for more pictures as they come in.

CBBC Me And My Movie Award

Bonnie has judged the CBBC me and my movie award this year for the EA BAFTA Children’s Awards on Sunday. Fellow judges included Blue Peter’s Andy Akinwolere, The Spiderwick Chronicles star Freddie Highmore, actors Hugh Bonneville and Colin Salmon, and industry experts from CBBC and BAFTA.

The CBBC me and my movie Award inspires and enables children across the UK to make their own films and tell their own stories as part of a BBC Learning film-making initiative. Children aged between 6 -14 years submitted over 500 short films and it is now narrowed down to 4 nominees:

The Bomber (Nicky, aged 14 from London) Moving and dramatic CGI animation charting a bomber’s journey across land and sea.

My Dad, My Beard (Euan, aged 11 from Edinburgh) What happens when you give your child control over your facial hair? Euan’s dad is about to find out.

The Prank (Leah, aged 12 from Essex) A cheeky wooden mannequin decides to play a prank in this surreal and visually striking short film.

Tree House Trouble (Thea, aged 10 from Nottinghamshire) When the ladder to their tree house is taken away a group friends hatch a plan involving some magic ‘jumping’ beans.

If you are interested in seeing any of these films, you can check them out here.

The EA BAFTA Children’s Awards will be held on Sunday, November 30th. Hope to see Bonnie there! Thanks to Kristi for letting us know

Top 10 Young Stars to Watch

SugarSlam has updated their website with their Top 10 Young Stars to Watch list. Their list consists of singers, songwriters, actors and actresses who they feel will be big stars in the future and they have chosen Bonnie to be apart it. Here’s what they had to say about her:

“Bonnie Wright is a 17 year old actress from London, England. Bonnie began acting at a young age and got her first break in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Bonnie’s role is continued through out all of the films. While she is most reconizable from her role in Harry Potter, Bonnie’s other credits include two tv films, Stranded and Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures. She was also a guest on Disney’s The Replacements. Bonnie still has 3 Harry potter films left, with her part growing more important in each. After Harry Potter, she wants to continue acting. We look forward to seeing what she does!”

Thanks Kristi for sending this in.

New Clip from NKCA

marlasinger01 from IMDB has found a new clip of Bonnie being interviewed at NKCA. The audio is not very good, so you can’t really hear what she says. According to ITN, she was talking about: not looking forward to getting slimed, having a break from filming, being back next year and looking forward to the new film coming out, missing mates from the cast, Emma Watson’s amazing dresses, and her favourite teacher. Hopefully we’ll find a better clip later.

You can view the clip here

HBP Footage Airing on ABC Family’s Harry Potter Weekend

ABC Family will be showing new footage of Half-Blood Prince during their Harry Potter Weekend, December 5-7th, throughout their premiere of Goblet of Fire. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and Michael Gambon will be discussing the storylines and insider information.

ABC Family’s first looks at the latest Harry Potter feature film also offer viewers a sneak peek of never-before-seen footage of love running rampant through Hogwarts, a look into Tom Riddle’s past and an introduction of Hogwarts new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Horace Slughorn.

Movie Air Dates:

Dec. 5: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Dec. 6: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and Prisoner of Azkaban
Dec. 7: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire

So Bonnie/Ginny should get a mention since love is running rampant through Hogwarts. Can’t wait to see new footage.

Thanks to Snitchseeker.
